Media Services provides a wide variety of videoconferencing services. Our clients usually fall under two broad categories: videoconference services for UBC Med School which incur no videoconferencing fee and all other videoconferences which are mostly provided for the Health Authorities but can include other health related clients. We charge a videoconferencing fee of $75.00 per hour for videoconferencing services for Health Authorities and other clients which helps defer the cost of technical support services and equipment purchase and upkeep.
We provide services which include organizing and scheduling videoconferences for our various clients, providing connection and technical support services during the videoconferences; and services and capital costs involved in maintaining videoconference equipment and facilities for UBC and our own videoconference rooms.
Media Services maintains and provides support for 6 videoconference rooms in the Conference Centre area.

We have 2 seminar rooms capable of holding up to about 30 persons (Conference room 4/5 and Room 1412) and a small seminar room that holds 8-12 persons (Room 1413).
